Traveling with a cage bird is nothing more difficult than traveling with a dog or cat. Birds can travel in similar accommodations from under the seat in a cabin on a flight or the back seat of your car. The size of your bird may determine where the bird can be held on a plane. If you are traveling with your bird in your car, all you need is a cage that is comfortable for your pet.
Traveling with your bird for extended periods has never been easier. A few simple items are all that you need to keep your pet safe and comfortable. Plan ahead when traveling and be sure to include a few extra necessities for your pet bird such as water, food, favorite treats, a leash or tether, and their favorite toys. Traveling with your bird can be a fun and rewarding experience when your pet is prepared for the journey.
We suggest having a carrier for each bird and keep it by their cage in case of emergencies. In case of a fire or other emergency, you don’t want to be digging around in the garage for the bird carrier!
